I'm on a phpBB forum and it just asked for my ICQ number
I have nothing to add to this photo, I just randomly found it on NASA's images website and it is sick as hell https://images.nasa.gov/details/GRC-2026-C-01075
What are you guys up to tonight
If you've been enjoying the World Cup, Seattle vs Portland is the best American soccer rivalry, it's going to be a great time and it's about to start. Included with an Apple TV subscription, which you might already have. https://tv.apple.com/us/sporting-event/seattle-sounders-fc-vs-portland-timbers/umc.cse.5cw7l5bwlgwukvj03rexh9iv0?ctx_brand=tvs.sbd.7000
I've been pretty negative about Apple over the last decade but this WWDC and the 27 releases look... pretty solid? They addressed a bunch of issues about their rushed rollout of Liquid Glass and Intelligence, built out a pretty cohesive set of tools for on-device consumer AI for doing things and not just slapping slop buttons everywhere, and spent most of the rest of the release working on fundamentals. Still a company full of problems that will take time to Cook out, but this was a good sign.
"I'm so excited about growing crops", she says, in the dead of winter.
Kerbal Space Program, a game released in 2013, just broke its all-time player peak thanks to Artemis II.
Good evening from America's soccer city!
Can someone plug the server back in please
The new theme support in Xcode 27 is lovely. Great work all around by that team.
> Starting in iOS 27, apps built with the latest SDK must use the scene-based life cycle or they fail to launch.
If you've been waiting to switch from app delegate to scene delegate, you must update by September. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/updates/uikit
NASA is planning moon infrastructure called LCRNS which will help solve the loss of signal problem on the far side of the moon. This is part of LunaNet, basically an "internet for the moon", a collaboration between NASA, ESA, and JAXA for long-term lunar habitation. https://www.nasa.gov/goddard/esc/lcrns/
I almost never do the "cut the subject out of the picture to add fake depth" phone wallpaper because blocking the time on a timekeeping device is pretty stupid just as a general concept HOWEVER I will make an exception this one time because it barely covers anything
Coffee for Re-acquisition of Signal from Artemis II.
Qwen3.6 is shockingly capable on local hardware.
Playing around with Ratatui in Rust (a terminal UI library), made a dynamically generated ASCII star field. Artemis II got space on my mind. No AI code.
@synack@mastodon.social they should pay you to suffer through this
This remains one of my absolute favorite artists for atmospheric vibe music for coding. A lot of his work is high concept stuff like this album as background music for a pretend video game system from the 2000s. Not AI-generated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3KfkKXRDzk
Y'all the Artemis II photos are going to be bonkers
RE: @frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org
Framework is always worth keeping an eye on. 👀
Astronauts on Artemis II are chatting by radio with astronauts on the International Space Station right now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3kR2KK8TEs

Artemis II is about to perform its trans-lunar injection burn in less than 10 minutes. It'll last nearly 6 minutes. And then the astronauts are committed to flying by the Moon. https://www.youtube.com/live/m3kR2KK8TEs

The best possible news is that they are shaking up core foundational systems of the game. It's gone stale. #FFXIV #FFXIVFanFest

I guess we're doing American Gladiators again? As one of the seven people who watched the 2008 reboot, sure, why not. https://www.primevideo.com/detail/American-Gladiators/0U5YJCUI7WTQT92EOEB2BO4L1Q
