This is precisely why any whiff of mandatory age verification is BULLSHIT!
It's not to protect you, nor to protect any users. It is, AT BEST, to protect the corporations from any consequences of willful negligence in the pursuit of profits.

By default, only the map data is shown, to avoid slamming photo tile providers. But if you want to map an area using an imagery source, you shine a light or slop some paint on that area and it renders the selected aerial imagery over that area.

I tried to go te a furmeet over the weekend, but I misunderstood the intructions I was given and showed up just a tiny bit too late. Thankfully, it was in a public place where there were still interesting things to do rather than just "turn around and go back home" so I got to see a bunch of stragglers wandering around a public place in adorable fursuits and then hung out with a couple furry friends. It was a good time, despite the mix-up.
That night, I had the old classic nightmare about being late to work, but then the dream turned positive when it turned out it wasn't a normal work day - I was just in time to engage in a special project meeting that turned into an office party where a bunch of people pulled out fursuits and enjoyed being themselves in the office.
The furry fandom saved me from a nightmare. 🥰

I spent the day modeling the behavior of a capacitive fuel level sensor with the goal of estimating the effects of water and biofuel blends in the fuel tank.
I bet you can see why I'm so excited! 
Slightly annoyed there's no "Laconian" mode of the major scale.
But then, of course there isn't. 🤭
