Animating strange attractors, part 2. This time the formula is P += cos(P.zxy + T) - S * P, with P being the position of each particle, T being the time of the simulation in seconds, and S is a parameter that fluctuates randomly over time in the range of 0.05-0.2.
The coloring is based on each particle's speed vector.

@petrikas@mastodon.art I feel you.
I really wish the pendulum could start swinging the other way and we'd see more human things again. Maybe once we reached the point of saturation (whenever that may be)... or when the venture capital is all burnt up.

@artificial3d@mastodon.art Six minutes of pure epic beauty!
Was there an existing story or myth that sparked this project? Or did you guys come up with the idea by yourselves?

The deadline is approaching, but there's still time to submit your wildest #SciFi and/or research ideas!

When large donations come in, or when major organizations join the Fund, the existing planning can be accelerated or augmented, but the priorities themselves originate from the project.
