In my boring everyday life, I live in Copenhagen and work on developing mobile apps on iOS.
In my less boring life, I enjoy traveling, hiking, camping and all kinds of outdoor activities.
I usually post about the latter.

Each time I visit Oslo, I’m getting jealous of how easy it is to access the nature here. Take a 20 minute ride on a metro from a city centre, walk for a couple of minutes - and you’re in the mountains! (Well, maybe not mountains by Norwegian standards, but certainly by the Danish ones)
I planned to do a short warmup hike to prepare for an upcoming long trek, but ended up walking/running for more than 20 km!

A sign in Danish with the text “Dear cyclist. Watch out for cars, lower your speed” with “Fuck cars” spray painted over it

I visited Vasa museum in Stockholm, and I’m completely awed by the sight! I’ve been looking to visit it for years, and so happy to finally fulfill the idea.

@crawfordsm Nasa has a great ebook library! Thankfully it’s mirrored by Archive.org in case “anything” happens.
I remember reading quite a few books from there over the years. Two of my favorites are “Computers in Spaceflight:
The NASA Experience” and “Humans to Mars.
Fifty Years of Mission Planning, 1950-2000”. They have so many juicy historical details to dive into!

@fraggle@social.coop I think there might also be a memetic SCP built around the same idea

@uhl@mastodon.social Thank you for the tip! I didn’t know you could enable accessibility options on a per-app basis. I wouldn’t have found it without your suggestion, as it’s buried at the very bottom of the accessibility settings page, and I found Increase Contrast to cause some appearance changes I didn’t like when I tried to enable it globally.
In Music it makes the album page look better, though I find the decision to add white gradients at the top and bottom to be questionable.

For some reason #AppleMusic decided that the entire app should be tinted based on the album art colors, ignoring user preferences. Which resulted in dark mode looking like this. I’m glad I didn’t listen to this album after dark.

@photomac@mas.to Unfortunately not, the one in Copenhagen was a temporary structure that was disassembled in 2020. There’s a next version of it in Aarhus that should still exist to this day.

@bert_hubert@eupolicy.social I always consider a negative lines of code counter on a pull request to be a badge of honour.

@Pepijn Most of Synology built-in apps feel like semi-abandonware. If you’re just starting to adopt them, I would recommend looking into an open source actively supported alternative. In case of Photos it would be Immich, which is super easy to setup in a container on the same NAS

@badastro@mastodon.social Hey! It’s really cute how your post ended up next to another picture of two black holes 😀
