"EWW NO NO AI PLEASE WE'RE GONNA FORK WHEN YOU USE AI" but when systemd does it it's "ehe heyyy sexy thats a nice feature creep you got there"

@ska@social.treehouse.systems uhmmmmmmmmmmm skauthenticator ✅

@fiore@brain.worm.pink well this isnt a server so i dont need sshd, in my case doas works because it supports not using pam, and since its setuid it is able to read shadow

@TheOneDoc@tech.lgbt yes, I know, the way people pay for diy hrt is through monero or similiar because it's anonymous

mfw dev behind the Wayland stack im using just interacted with my post 9larper to 9larper communication....

@maxine@brain.worm.pink knome is calling

doing source based distro the old fashioned way by manually cloning and building every package instead of using portage

@TheOneDoc@tech.lgbt to blanket call crypto projects garbage is just ignoring all the legitimate uses minorities have for crypto being able to buy things without having your identity linked to is a lifesaver for many people, it's like the main way to pay for diy hrt

@maxine@brain.worm.pink why tho

@ska@social.treehouse.systems most of the fun was seeing the awful ideas people would vibecode lol now I get more human low quality code, which is fun as well, but a different kind of fun

@genchu@sakurajima.social last time i tried crux it didn't work which most definetly was a huge skill issue on my side but i dont feel like switching away from gentoo to yet another linux distro

@ska@social.treehouse.systems DAMN another day held by the shackles of PAM

it really feels like codeberg pushed that crypto policy at the same time as the ai policy to hide how bad of an idea it is with the hype for ai ban overshadowing it

Okay I need help with pleroma federation for some reason a bunch of instances just don't federate properly anymore, or seemingly only federate one way looking at the logs I see a bunch of stuff like this pleroma: Failed-signature inbox retry rejected reason=:invalid_signature payload_actor="https://instance.url/users/username" signature_actor="https://instance.url/users/username" activity_id="https://instance.url/activities/uuid" type="Like" request_path="/inbox" I don't recall changing anything about signing so I have no idea what the issue may be edit: okay I realize I won't see replies so uh ping @rose@brain.worm.pink when you do reply

firefox turned into chromium the way everyone keeps making new firefox based browsers that do nothing

@fiore@brain.worm.pink it kinda just works honestly, i only had to patch noctalia to get rid of the lockscreen since that (rightfully) uses pam
