Silly question for my #Blind friends today I'm curious how people choose to tell the time these days. Do you default to smart phones, smart watches or do you still use a #Braille Watch? If I were fancy, I'd have made this a real poll but I didn't sorry. Maybe next time. I ask because I myself like wearing a #BrailleWatch however, my beloved Seiko with the easy to adjust band isn't made any longer. The ones with expansion bands are always too large so I have to have them sized. And I just got one with a leather band which is the stiffest most hideous band I've encountered ever and arrived with a dead battery adding insult to injury. It's going back. Thanks in advance for indulging my curiosity.

I could literally cry right this minute. I tell you I could live to be a million years old and I will never, ever, never get past the wonder of discovering #Braille on something. I purchased this product just because I was seeking a sunscreen for the face. I had no idea that when it came its outer packaging would feature #Braille on it. It says Anthelios 60 on it. Not even sure I could stomach swinging high now. And awww hi sweet garden kitty. And tea so much tea I love it.
Question for any of my #Blind friends who might know. I might be buying a new Thermostat. I've learned that the newer Honeywell units are using the Honeywell First Alert App for iOS as the Resideo app is being phased out. Thus, my question is has anyone used this First Alert app with #VoiceOver on #iOS and how did you find it in terms of #Accessibility and usability?

If you have photos on your site you could ask an AI to give you verbal descriptions of them to convey their appearance to a #Blind person and see what it gives you. If you think their descriptions are accurate you could offer those. I hope that helps.
So I read: "The United States Senate unanimously passed a resolution declaring April 22, 2026, National Assistive Technology Awareness Day." Am I the only one who thinks why that day? Why not the 23rd when it wouldn't be overshadowed by #EarthDay. Is it just me?
How do I say this without stirring up trouble. If many groups are all doing the same sorts of fund-raising projects, how do they expect to motivate participation or purchases therein? I've always wondered why they don't try to differentiate their offerings a bit more. But then again being the daughter of a man who made his living in advertising and sales I'm no one's demographic because I’m not easily moved by such. Realistically, how many of the same sorts of shirts, tote bags and other assorted food items can people with limited discretionary income be expected or anticipated to buy? I’m not trying to criticize I’m merely musing upon the topic.
I just received the email about #DiscoverCard’s transition to being fully integrated into #CapitalOne, including account management through the Capital One app. So I called to ask whether they planned to continue offering the Discover card design that features all account information in #Braille on the face of the card.
I was assured by an agent, who genuinely seemed knowledgeable about the transition, that they would.
Of course, I’ll be monitoring things closely, but it was heartening to hear that answer. And, as I do every single time I contact them, I left positive feedback thanking them for continuing to offer a card design with all account information in #Braille. #Accessibility

Oh my goodness. I literally just lost years off my life. I was happily sitting outside and realized I suddenly smelled wet earth. It's raining! I quickly folded up my chair and brought it inside. But wait, the umbrella on the back patio is still up. I have to run out there and close it. So I did and got soaked. No big deal to me. But my iPhone was in my left pocket bottom end up. I come inside, change clothing and suddenly my phone sounds like a bad kazoo. Oh noooo I think to myself, it's ruined. For the first time in my life I'll have to take advantage of Apple Care. But wait, every time it produces sound a tiny bit of water comes out. Alright I'll take it out of its case make sure it's as dry as I can get it use a bit of cool air from a hair dryer in its general direction but not directly at it to help it along all while it's powered down. I'm happy to report all has righted itself. Speaker performs normally, Face ID works, a recording ensures microphones are fine and charging port which was protected by the built-in port cover of my case is also fine. That's why I love the #SupCaseUBGrip case and also why I never put it in the slip phone pockets so many purses have on their outsides. In a purse it's always zipped inside for security reasons and also to shield it from weather. But I will not soon forget the temporary upset it caused me. And this commentary after I ran the incident by ChatGPT made me giggle. It said: "Now go enjoy the fact that your iPhone appears to have survived its impromptu shower. The poor thing has had a spa treatment, a cool-air blow-dry, and
a successful medical exam. I think it has earned a quiet afternoon right alongside its owner." 😊
