I'd love to have a Yamaha cs1x back in my life. A bit of nostalgia and it has some ok #midi control with velocity at least. Scavenging FB marketplace and others, keyboards are very often mislabeled, so I need to think like them for search terms:
BLUE PIANO
A KEYBOARD
YANAHAM INDIGO
GENERAL MIDI SYNTHESIZER
Ordered my very first pair of bifocals. They look like these
After seeing #vnv and now #assemblage23 I think I understand future pop. It's really about the vocals being very accessible and reachable in any voice so it's easy to learn the often emotional and sentimental lyrics and sing along. You don't have to get wrapped up in celebrity or vocal acrobatics to take part and feel close to the music
Reminded of this putting on a random xfiles EP. The artist set up a virtual environment that sounds like walking around an arcade in different eras. I would use this as noise masking all night (or day after graveyard shifts). Heh also filter hey man nice shot in the xf soundtrack. https://archive.org/details/ArcadeAmbience
little #audiomulch loop session for this week's #weeklybeats
i was going to try to crank out an intense 2ch mod, but it has been a long day and i didn't feel like blasting noisy beats into my face
The recumbent trike community, I figured would be much smaller than most others, but it is quite tiny, probably exacerbated by the demographic skewing toward boomer-gen who are less likely to have a first thought like "take me to the the rad recumbent trike diy/mods chat! On the internet!"

Whenever I start using an iPad, I'm confronted with having to figure out a secure and easy way to get files from non-apple-macintoshes onto it. I mess around with a music app or two. Then I put it down and forget about it.

i'm feeling this pull, like the shape of reality is shifting behind me, where i can't see it, always outside my periphery, but its motion is distorting what's in front of me, so i must start a serious venture into making retro pc hardware and emulation a serious hobby
i really like the sound and style of Inear Display's plugins. I recommend checking them out and supporting the developer; now offered as a bundle https://bedroomproducersblog.com/2026/02/24/inear-display-pwyw/
i know i do techno n stuff but cut it out with the cool handshakes they give me anxiety
Repurposing an Athlon Gold 3150U laptop as a retro gaming #htpc and going to try #bazzite with the steam deck option. I also need to research some games that have the accessibility of modern casual games, but run on older consoles. Kingdom Hearts, some of the Yakuza games and Disney Dreamlight Valley have been favorites for the target audience. I skipped just about everything between SNES and Xbox. Never had Sony or Sega
