I always find myself one day late for #wipWednesday oops. Working on my first colorwork sweater using a new to me technique for carrying long floats in the back: Ladderback Jacquard.
The kitty is in memory of Dr. Renard, my avatar, forever in my heart.

For #wipwednesday I have finally joined the Ranunculus sweater cult. There are over 35k projects in #Ravelry for it! Hoping to finish this weekend if possible. And working on the second sock for the February cuff club. I am missing one very small ball of yarn and I think Charlotte the cat has "borrowed" it.

Frankly, I don't blame it for leaving.

Like many relationships that have lasted billions of years, the gap between Earth and the Moon is widening. It might not be enough for the two behemoths to seek a relationship counselor just yet, but they are farther apart. How much and why? @sciencefocus@flipboard.com dives into that:

@starkraving666 here you go! They changed places throughout the rows depending on where they were needed. The pattern designer had a nice chart to follow on where to place them.

@nobyeni@zirk.us I've been enjoying it so far - I can see why people like it. Doesn't take as much yarn, knits up quickly, versatile. I sound like a cult member now. They've got to me!

@mmasnick Excellent overview, Mike. I especially liked this description of a decentralized system:
"[It] avoids the possibility of one random jackass controlling everything."
With that in mind, happy first anniversary to this quote by Dorsey, who helped fund Elon's purchase of Twitter:
"Elon is the singular solution I trust,” Dorsey wrote in late April. “I trust his mission to extend the light of consciousness.”

@mmasnick Thanks for posting here too, even if it means you don't see my reply 😊, because I always look forward to reading them but don't always remember to go to techdirt and browse there.

@Popehat How DARE they disparage his good name 🤬 by mentioning he killed their family members. 🙄Three cheers for Ken for standing up to loathsome creatures like Mr.Vanga.

@mmasnick Thanks Mike. My favorite feature is the ability to follow hashtags. I'm lucky to be on an interesting instance and I've found some cool folks browsing the local timeline.
You may think bumper stickers are useless but I was just behind a car with a "resistance is not futile" sticker and all my anxiety fled my body.

@justmegi@mstdn.social Thank you! I used 5mm/US 8 needles and I had two cables connected together on my interchangeable needles, so probably 48ish inches? Here's the link to the free pattern: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/mindful-temperature-blanket
