@MichaelTBacon Cops who are pissed that they're being required to follow the law should not be cops

Since urbanists.social admin is dormant (which is completely fine, you do you) I am doing the good fedi citizen thing and migrating to techhub, which is probably more aligned with my interests anyway
Sad to leave the server that helped me escape Twitter, but I sort of enjoy that migration is a normal part of the fedi experience and mastodon is built to handle it. Regular revolutions keep things spicy

It's like how banana flavored candies are a correct reference to the taste of specific bananas that went extinct and don't exist anymore
A parking spot is what that space used to or ought to be, not what it is now

My parents made the mistake of watching this VHS with their toddlers: my sister and I mastered the entire language
Am I surprised Sahil Lavingia, creator of Gumroad, went to work for Elon at DOGE? No. Am I disappointed? Yeah kinda. Is it redemptive that he's counter-messaging, now? Maybe a little

@jonnn@kolektiva.social Yeah, I mean
If there's any difference between Indy and LA it's because the cops haven't started attacking protestors indiscriminately yet

@gabe_sky@infosec.exchange As the sole designer in my unit, I'm often asked to produce these. I use a Figma plugin which achieves these results
Now I will just send them this link so they can do it themselves. Much appreciated

@tmstreet@urbanists.social It's so cartoonish
Like I used to imagine that people were mostly separate from and uninvolved with the changes to city planning and infrastructure around them
Learning more and more that a lot of people had strong opinions in favor of cutting down all of the trees to fit more cars

Baselessly attacking me instead of explaining his clear derision towards open source saves me time, for sure

People would host their own
It's weird it's like, despite the stated purpose of the project you don't seem to place a lot of stock in good faith gestures
I wonder why

Yes that's what I said, and this kind of hostility in the face of a simple criticism doesn't support your claim

@DrewKadel@social.coop To the extent that LLMs represent the intent to deceive over being merely deceptive, you have to go one or two levels up
Sure, LLMs themselves are incapable of intent: but they wouldn't exist at all except as the end result of an intentional design
@manicExpressive@kolektiva.social Is the "collaboration" part of that description important to you?
Not to argue with anybody who teaches classical logic, but I really feel like the 5 lectures on complexity should have come before big O and the exam that included big O
With takebacks and hints I'm like, 1200 ELO come at me
@castanea_jo@ni.hil.ist It's the same price on lego as it was in the store: so people are buying these retail and flipping for $70 on ebay
@castanea_jo@ni.hil.ist Literally, it's so cool
I carried it around in my cart for a few aisles before giving it up
