Rules for life.
On #Caturday we sit on our little perch and judge.
A standard day at work.
Prepared for back to back meetings nearly all day.
I had some time to kill in Melbourne this morning so wandered into the naarm ngarrgu Library near the Queen Victoria Markets.
I sat with the retirees and read an actual newspaper. It’s been ages since I read the news the old fashioned way!
The library was just lovely and a warm, welcoming and quiet space.
🛫 Work is out. Food, drink and good company in Melbourne is in.
Did it help today? No.
Did I have to do it in my head rather than out loud. Yes.
Did I feel better? Yes.

I swear half of the stuff Myer advertises for sale online doesn’t get sent by them. They appear to have slowly pivoted to being a big dropshipper.

Decided to treat myself to some more Doctor Who collectibles.
I will now spend the next week deciding if I should open the packaging or keep it intact to retain value.
After a week I’ll sigh and decide it’s bad luck for whoever inherits my estate because I’m never selling them. They will then get removed from their boxes and put with all the others.

I’m looking for a new ISP and checked what Superloop is offering and they appear to have a business model from a decade ago.
They charge shipping if you get a modem from them.
You have to give 30 days notice if you’re cancelling to go to another ISP.

@troberts@theblower.au depends how many days they have banked up but also being absent can be better than present if they’re not up to doing decent work. I’d rather have one of my team members call in sick than turn up and do a poor days work.

@daveycraney I’m in the final stage of my career and not looking for a promotion. The urge to say what I’m really thinking gets stronger as the months go by! For now I just have to settle with only letting it show on my face rather than articulating it.
