Out on a school night last night, at the Vault in Hexham to see Kaïa Kater with support from local The Early Purple. I hadn't realised how well-known she is, quite a big deal for a tiny venue like the Vault.
Last night's gig at the Star & Shadow
Tibshelf was a bit odd… nothing wrong with the music, but he was just sat in a corner on his laptop while a video played on the big screen. Could've been doing his accounts for all anybody could tell.
Parastatic + Late Girl were very good, bit of post-rock krautrock with mostly spoken word meanderings about brutalist architecture. (Ummm… much better than my description makes it sound.)

Anybody in the UK had cause to scrap a motorcycle recently, and might have recommendations for a company that could collect?
We've got a CG125-a-like that's beyond economical repair, kept for a few years as an insurance placeholder, but it's not worth keeping any longer and I'd rather have the garage space.
(If anybody wants it as a "project", you're welcome to it, but I really don't think it's worth the effort.)
