@harrysintonen Also the link "Privacy Statement" does not lead to a privacy statement, it just shows the "What is GitHub Copilot?" page.

Just ran into this one: https://github.com/docker-library/postgres/commit/ec0cb67f0f214ae5d93e5a2254974462a27f44a1 After a docker compose down and docker compose up, the database container appeared to come up with an empty database (it actually just expected the database volume in a different location, so no data was lost).

Another use-case for clang-query: Finding instances of std::uint8_t being written to std::cout. std::uint8_t is usually (but not necessarily) a typedef to unsigned char and will be printed as if it were a character, not an integer!
Edit: there is a predefined check 'bugprone-unintended-char-ostream-output' for this

Apparently someone is writing the tool that I was imagining since I encountered that double-curly-braces bug! https://discourse.llvm.org/t/rfc-clang-reforge-automatic-whole-codebase-source-code-rewriting-tool-for-security-hardening/90283

Searched for an IC, got exactly one result, it's on a Russian forum and it includes photos of that exact type of PCB that I'm looking at. Thank you Andrey01 and KaVc

It makes a difference if you compile this with -std=c17 or -std=gnu17. I don’t know why yet. If you compile with -std=c17 and press ctrl+c, waitpid will return -1, if you compile with -std=gnu17 and press ctrl+c, waitpid will return pid. Tested with recent GCC and Clang on x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.
#include#include#include#include
static void signal_handler(int sig) {
printf("caught signal %d\n", sig);
}
int main() {
signal(SIGINT, signal_handler);
pid_t pid = fork();
if (pid < 0) {
return -1;
} else if (pid == 0) {
execlp("cat", "cat", NULL);
return -1;
}
printf("pid == %d. press ctrl+c ...\n", pid);
int status;
pid_t ret = waitpid(pid, &status, 0);
if (ret < 0) {
perror("waitpid");
return -1;
}
printf("waited; ret == %d, status == %d\n", ret, status);
}

@kbruen@procial.tchncs.de I guess they wanted to support arbitrary ranges as delimiters and didn't want to special-case string literals, which are arrays of const char that are terminated by a nul character.
