some mix of TMBG's Dr. Worm, Yael Naim's New Soul, and Frank Zappa's Montana perhaps

didn't used to use the extra comma; occasional drama llama; overthinks current events whilst knowledge of prior events is lacking

hobbies have been limited by international treaty to: books/reading, music/making, gardening/animals, electronics/radio, computers/interfaces (in no particular order and perhaps a couple others grandfathered in that I'm forgetting right now (like such as in hoarding business cards))

@dabeaz@mastodon.social @glyph@mastodon.social saw this mostly out of context and just assumed you were talking about those sacks of composted BS you can buy at the garden center

@jenn@gardenstate.social this might be projection but most people who _are here_ seem pretty scared of it

really appreciate the detailed walkthrough @siblingpastry@mastodon.world provides here in https://www.tpgi.com/the-road-to-accessible-drag-and-drop-part-2/

> To make drag and drop — or any complex widget — more widely accessible, it helps to step back and think of it in terms of **what it achieves** […]

@siblingpastry@mastodon.world You probably figured this out, but I got curious and had to double-check that this has to do with the primary-ness of the pointer (rather than what that particular pointer is doing). Marks that the event is coming from e.g. the main mouse rather than just one rando finger of a multitouch chord. "Authors who desire only single-pointer interaction can achieve that by ignoring non-primary pointers." https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/PointerEvent/isPrimary

PointerEvent: isPrimary property - Web APIs | MDN
MDN Web Docs

PointerEvent: isPrimary property - Web APIs | MDN

The isPrimary read-only property of the PointerEvent interface indicates whether or not the pointer device that created the event is the primary pointer. It returns true if the pointer that caused the event to be fired is the primary one and returns false otherwise.
