Telling computers what to do since 1990.
Problem solver, software developer, photographer, adventurer. I like sloths 🦥.
I'm interested in technology, outdoors, photography, travel, culture, arts, and everything in between. I spend way too much time fiddling with the design and backend of my site, rather than writing.
This is my latest attempt at fitting into the Fediverse with a personal GoToSocial instance.

@squibbles@hachyderm.io @mogwai_poet@mastodon.social Porcupines chew on rubber parts for salt (sodium). Tires are the least of your problem, cause they’re instantly visible, but they’ll also chew on brake lines (or any hydraulic hoses) and wiring.
It’s also becoming more of a problem with wiring also - there’s been increasing number of incidents of animals chewing on wires… turns out there are reprocussions to making wire sheeting/insulation more eco friendly by using soy as additive.

@teilweise I’d be willing to entertain the idea that the message is supposed to be “can’t delete X because Y is already installed”, except it’s a code bug and X and Y got evaluated to blank/null. Still not great message, but the wording does make more sense that way.
