nobody has to use tags.pub. We don't want people who don't want their content relayed to be boosted by tags.pub.@evan@cosocial.ca If that is the case, it's much better that it's Opt-in rather than Opt-out. Not everyone is going to know every single bot account in existence and it's unfair to assumed that anyone would with especially how large the Fediverse is.

I just remembered the whole #MastodonForHarris where people are happy to donate tons of money to campaign to get her on Mastodon as if she had advocated people to get off Twitter in the first place.
But somehow doing mutual aids for anyone with financial difficulties is a big no-no as "they could be scammers". I would rather give a fiver to them than to a politician. Maybe they might be lying but it's only a fiver and also for people in that difficult position, it's still better than nothing. And also, Kamala would be on Mastodon if she wanted to go on there and it feels like at best, a fairy tale of unchecked optimism.

I don't think they intend to be malicious doing it and think their being helpful but it a equivalent of reading a brochure and talking about stuff in there like it's groundbreaking to people that.. well, already have read it or know about it as it basic fact unless you're a newbie.

Using Pale Moon just made me realized how bloated some website are and even using uBlock Origin can only do so much.
