@panic@social.panic.com I never got this volume of mail, but I had a couple shareware game out in the 90s and would get 1-2 checks a week, from all over the world. Sometimes a nice note as well. I still have all the notes— as the article says, it’s a special dev-player connection that is harder to come by nowadays.
Some other landmarks, and how Trump would fix them:
* Eiffel Tower: cover with drywall
* Sphinx: replace face with his
* Leaning Tower of Pisa: use state of the art hydraulics to stabilize the— nah, on second thought just rename it Trump Tower of Pisa
* St Louis Gateway Arch: add second arch, paint them yellow

One of my favorite Lucas** games was Learning’s Pit Droids.They sent me a t-shirt for finishing the game, and a puzzle I submitted to their portal was Puzzle of the Month. Too bad they took down everyone’s puzzles without warning. (A sad and unnecessary ending- the puzzle files were tiny, they could at least have put a zip file of them somewhere..)
Anyway my point is your book should mostly be about me. Thank you

It’s easy to get depressed about perceived failures, and the longer you are alive, the longer that list will be. But there are other ways to look at it. The successes also stack up— it just takes more effort to remember those, some days.
I had trouble finding my AirTag after its battery ran out, so I put an AirTag on it.
I keep thinking up new ad slogans for Crumbl cookies. My wife has asked me to stop focus-testing them on her, for some reason.
Are we so lazy and uninspired that we finish all our teasers with the same sentence? The answer may surprise you!
