Cory articulates something I’ve felt for a long time. How neither the Internet, or the web, or smartphones required coercion to get people to use them. They had organic adoption because many people found them valuable and useful. Bottom up.
Remember how Slack got its initial adoption? Employees lobbied their managers to use it because they liked it so much compared to email. As another bottom up example.

Really enjoyed this piece on art, creativity and business.
Mike Fiedler, presenting a slide from his talk, Anatomy of a Phishing Campaign.
If you couldn’t make the talk I recommend adding it to your queue of videos to watch later.

@shanie I have been thinking about this while reading about DCs installing engine turbines fed by dirty fuel just to crank out slop.
And those same boosters would be clutching their pearls about the grid because they wanted to keep the status quo wrt cars.
That’s a long way of saying I agree. 🙂
Government contractor uses a "private" repo to sync secrets between laptops. It does not go well.

It feels like we've experienced Processor Inversion where the GPU may as well be the whole motherboard and we should have CPU cards that slot into the motherboard.
The form factor of having GPUs continue to live as a "lowly" PCI card is kinda hilarious at this point. When they melt their power connectors and need physical support to stay upright in their meager slots.
Especially when I see the price point of NVIDIA 3090's (never mind their datacenter gear).
@mpirnat@mas.to I just survived a conference and world cup game standing in some shoes and finally survived OK. (From our convo at PyCon)
