@fheinderyckx@mastodon.social Yeah, I love putting jokes and commentary in there. Unfortunately it probably doesn't really help the visually impaired. Technically ALT text and Title text are 2 different things, but Mastodon doesn't give me the option to separate the two. So the jokes go where they go.

Here is some important context from a Reddit thread asking about this. https://www.reddit.com/r/ProtonMail/comments/1nd1nrc/comment/ndg68pz/ My own conclusion is that since Proton cannot see the content of the things that are encrypted, they can be misled or manipulated into blocking things by security alerts, with no way to check their validity.

@paulrickards It works will enough for writing, but I'm having flashbacks to the old internet explorer days when unwanted toolbars would fill up half of the screen vertically.

@joshbressers For those who aren't aware. This is similar to Y2K, where many computer programs won't be able to store the time correctly.

@SocketSecurity@fosstodon.org So we either turn off automatic updates and forgo security patches, or we read every single line of code before we run it. Unfortunately not everybody is a programmer.
