Ripping down plywood sheets to make boxes for wall mounted tool store - figured a lot of time would be spent setting up and tearing down between each cut, so I first made a quick setup jig to secure the track and make it easy to slide sheets in for cutting.
Worked pretty well.
Tool storage #WoodWorking project: First carcass constructed and mounted - I've already got the same pieces ready for the second of the pair. It'll be nice to be able to organise things a bit.
Yesterday was a bit grey and cool, so thought we'd put on a rendang in the slow cooker (7 hours until dinner time). But it's nice and sunny again today.
Oh well, still going to have rendang 😋
Just heard about #ParseWord from the same guy who created #Wordle
It's a daily puzzle which works similar to cryptic crossword clues.
I have an idea for a #Writing project in an almost-real world setting, but I need to figure out how to research things for accuracy. The story is set back in a particular English town sometime between 1988-1998 (exactly when depends on a few things).
How do I go about (without "AI") finding out minutiae like:
- what kind of mobile phones were generally available then (of at all)?
- how likely is it a woman would be a Detective Sergeant working solo in Thames Valley Police back then?
- etc
