I love that every time I step outside I discover something new! today it was (what I believe to be) a Spotted Red Resin Bee.

It was very quick and difficult to photo 🐝 It had a lovely fuzzy stripped abdomen, but when it rested the wings were closed so I couldn't quite capture it.

Submitted to iNaturalist where hopefully some folks can confirm what type of bee it is ☺️

I should install Myst again.

Struggling to focus this evening, so here are two of my favourite recent Artemis II photos from the growing collection:

https://images.nasa.gov/

- Artemis II Total Solar Eclipse, Partial Frame
- A Setting Earth

There's something about the first one (#Artemis II Total Solar Eclipse) that I can't quite describe.

At first glance I don't think of the Moon, it looks like nothing I've seen before, but it screams SPACE. The glowing halo with a tint of colour is moody, dramatic, and a tad foreboding.

Each day I've been adding a bit more to my weekly planner project from the weekend.

Now it supports:
- Renaming, completing, and deleting tasks
- Add / Delete custom lists
- Apply colours

All saved locally with IndexedDB. I think this is shaping up nice ☺️

So happy to have been able to watch the last 11ty meetup! With such a fantastic talk by @tylersticka@social.lol and AMA from @zachleat@fediverse.zachleat.com 🥳

and a huge thank you to @sia@front-end.social for organsing them for so long - whenever I've had the chance to attend one, it's always been a great experience 💜

I figured this lil weekly planner project could be a cool time to learn/test that new Temporal date system.

How lucky am I that @Wilto@front-end.social wrote an article all about it over on @piccalilli@front-end.social 🤩

Shaving off the beard is how I discover I've developed a bit of a double chin 😩

Katsu curry night is the best night 🍛

Speaking of RSS, a new reader just dropped from @tg@indieweb.social , I'm intrigued 🧐

This one does away with unread counts and follows a different design philosophy to what I'm familiar with, with older articles fading away (configurable) after some time 👀

Now with the ability to drag & drop images 🥳 Here's a quick test with one I found on Unsplash.

So far it's just HTML, CSS, JS, and SVG. Once I have the SVG elements syncing across sheets (and different layouts, including the option to manually place) I'll add IndexedDB for some data persistence.

Desperately needed to install this Peacock extension today, as I find myself with three different projects open and no way to distinguish between them when quick switching with mission control 🦚

So it's not a great idea to do some music discovery when I'm tired,

I thought I found some bangers last night, and when I went to look up the tracks today I find out the whole thing was A fucking I 🙃 Music videos and all. I've been had.

Thankfully still found _plenty_ of human-made bangers 💜

This is an awesome site! It helps visualize where shadows fall at any time of day, any place on earth.

I think this will be a very useful tool for when we start looking to move to Northern Sweden - as we're going to need to make those daylight hours count! 🪴

I've gone most of my life without seeing a tick, but this year alone I've seen a whole bunch, two of them crawling on me! 😨

Some progress on this weekends web dev project, I'm making a little advent calendar generator ☺️

So far:

- Manged to randomize values into the cells, learning about the Fisher-Yates shuffle algorithm in the process

- Ended up hand coding the SVG to get it setup right

- Good groundwork for things to come, I think

- Receive email for an account I'm sure I don't have, regarding some ToS changes
- Try to unsubscribe from mailing list, need to be logged in to do so
- Try to log in / forget password, doesn't work
- Raise ticket to GDPR delete my apparent account

DLSS 5 On 💸

Giving this a look to possibly turn some HTML, CSS, and JS into neat little standalone app 👀

Amazing, hope you have an amazing time. Not sure how long you're in HK for, but I highly recommend:

• Hong Kong Heritage Museum in Sha Tin

• Tian Tan Buddha + Tai O Fishing Village in Lantau Island.

• Pineapple Bun (bolo bao) - They're available all around, but if you happen by Sheng Shui station (Hong Kong's New Territories area), the best one I had was from Kwong Sing Café which is a short walk away
