Fortunately I live in a place where people have to be told to stop bringing food to firefighters because they’re running out of storage space! Anyway, just to say that we’re only a lightning strike away from the apocalypse, now. Know your neighbors and store rainwater.

@bitboxer@mastodon.social my kid learned using a Gibus bike, it’s a middle ground between balance bike and actual bike. They’re lightweight, with the pedals a bit further from the saddle than usual. Quite expensive at 300€ but we sold it for the same price. It was a blast to see such a small child zooming away then reaching for the pedals and follow us on our bikes! https://gibuscycles.com/

That's a cool illustration of the conservation of angular momentum, which gymnasts and skaters use. Spreading increases inertia and slows rotation, while pulling in decreases inertia and speeds up, angular momentum remains constant throughout.
