Worried on the left: nobody is advocating for a media funding model that isn't private corporate fascist or philanthropy funded and still privately funded. I got activists thinking Instagram is better than journalists because they see all the amazing content producers but not Meta's control over curation in partnership with powerful nation-states. And journos losing jobs, and we lose investigation, fact checking, and suing for information. But journos are not advocating for their profession.
Cool, but how about we nationalize Boeing, stop pushing their product on ultra-wealthy governments and private consumers, and degrowth their production, implement safety engineering practices, and convert it to a train equipment manufacturer?

New @samsung Terms of Service for One UI claims "irrevocable, unlimited, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to copy, reproduce, adapt, modify..." It claims you as AI fodder forever. Boilerplate AI ToS like this show up everywhere. They should be illegal.
Logic(s) Magazine on the scam of gig #labor the danger of gigification spreading across industries. What's fresh: how "full time" #ableism screws families and how strategies like arbitrary suspensions mirror how people on public #welfare programs are treated.
I would add that being an employee is about protections, the right to #unionize, and getting unemployment and social security in the US. Employee is not synonymous with being "full-time."
