I'm not good at FPS games, so this port took over a decade to materialize.

Last night I didn't want to do my taxes... so I installed @prosodyim@fosstodon.org on my LAN switch, a #MikroTik RB4011
It was hypothetically easy (install&enable Containers, follow https://prosody.im/doc/docker to deploy on eMMC, forward the ports, add a certificate), so I played it on hard mode with a #punycode domain
Biggest challenge: MikroTik won't let you paste "☝" in a terminal
2nd challenge: finding a compatible client
Now say hi to xmpp:georg@☝.op-co.de (if your client permits)
#xmpp #docker #prosody
Nur noch heute Abend: Spielt DOOM in der Chaoswelle auf dem #EH23

They've arrived! 2x 500 folded flyers ready to be shared at #FOSDEM
Thanks again @padeluun and @digitalcourage for sponsoring and making this possible in such a short time frame!

@janamarie@mystical.garden @nblr@chaos.social Welcome to the club! #Infrared is such a fascinating rabbit-hole! Kolari even created a dedicated "IR Chrome" filter that mimics the Aerochrome effect without requiring post-processing. Just set a custom WB when shooting and you get #Aerochrome JPEG out-of-camera!

It's great indeed. Running Secure Memory Encryption (SME) on a Ryzen laptop, just toggled the option in the BIOS, rebooted, lost around 2% RAM throughput (only did very loose benchmarking) and moved on with life.

*You* can build it from source: https://github.com/ge0rg/gamemasterdice/tree/radpro
And you wouldn't play games with anybody who can't source code audit a simple Android app, right?

Today for the whole day there was a queue outside for the day passes (no idea how long it takes though), but you only need them to enter the building for talks / hack space / the bar. Hanging out outside on the meadows or getting food works without a pass. Ping me if you decide to come, I'll be there from noon to the evening tomorrow and probably from morning to finish on Sunday.

Schön zu sehen, dass die #XMPP Flyer es bis in die alte Heimat geschafft haben! 😍
Viel Erfolg beim DI.DAY, und lasst mich wissen, wenn am Inhalt oder Layout noch etwas verbessert werden sollte!

It's a paper handkerchief that collected some Radon remnants in the basement. You can get radioactive dust by putting it into a vacuum cleaner in front of the dust bag / filter, and letting it run for 30 minutes.

You're the first! Feel free to take the content from https://codeberg.org/ge0rg/fosdem-2026-xmpp-diday and/or to make a PR for xmpp-fr.md!
I'm not sure if @digitalcourage will volunteer to do the layout and printing as part of version 2 (after FOSDEM)...
