If you're mostly/only worried about labeling permalinks for screen readers, you can use aria-labelledby to give the permalink the same label as the target element (in this case the heading).

@inherentlee I think knowing it's a same page link is enough without the "jump to" in "jump to " if that's what you're asking.
Something like jump to top/main section are different IMO and do need clear "jump to" prefix.
I don't think repetition is a problem.
Could I try the page or a snippet?

I did subscribe to Nebula, though, and I like it, but it doesn't have all the things Youtube has obvi.

@inherentlee I tested same-page links like the example I gave in a prior example, and I can confirm that Voiceover on iOS does read "in-page link".
So....
The home same-page link on this website you linked me to seems not to read properly on iOS.
I think the empty title atribute is tripping voiceover up.
It reads it like "current page link".
Also the "skip" same page link doesn't read as the in-page link.

NVDA reads it like "same page link current page home".
Voiceover reads it like: "current page link".
I'm guessing "/" being the target of the anchor gets interpreted as same page?

The home navigation link still doesn't read properly, but I assume you just haven't pushed the changes?
I think accessibility is great otherwise. 👍
