one thing i am very interested to know tho would be how accessible build awesome pro is. whether wcag and atag were considered during the design and development of build awesome pro with all these features with complex user experiences 😬🤞🏻 @fontawesome@mastodon.social

❓ what’s the best free resource for designers to learn html and css?

i’m putting together some resources for designers at work to learn about accessibility and i want one of the key parts of it to be teaching them about the platform that they are designing for.

all the ones i know of are geared towards new devs, so they cover stuff that isn’t important to designers (cli, ide, syntax, etc.)

i want something that just focuses on semantic html (🤏🏻 aria) and css (box model, layout modes, etc.)

Front-end doesn't exist

Deskilling has led to a lack of front-end developers and the awareness of which skills are actually needed to hire for

A selfish manifesto towards rejection of generative AI

It is completely acceptable to reject modern AI entirely on selfish grounds. Here I offer a 3-part mini-manifesto focused on why, entirely for yourself, you should consider rejecting generative AI.

@Myndex@techhub.social @zachleat@fediverse.zachleat.com @11ty@neighborhood.11ty.dev @fontawesome@mastodon.social absolutely! i love APCA but i think it’s important that it’s not currently referred to as WCAG 3, as it was in the live stream, to avoid spreading confusion.

@zachleat@fediverse.zachleat.com @11ty@neighborhood.11ty.dev @fontawesome@mastodon.social i checked out the stream and it’s worth mentioning that APCA is not WCAG 3’s contrast algorithm. WCAG 3’s contrast algorithm is yet to be determined, and APCA was actually marked for removal in early 2023. https://adrianroselli.com/2026/04/wcag3-contrast-as-of-april-2026.html

The Impact of AI-Generated Text on the Internet

By mid-2025, roughly 35% of newly published websites were classified as AI-generated or AI-assisted. We analyze the impact on semantic diversity, factual accuracy, sentiment, and more.
