Happy 24 Hours Le Mans day! Here are some film shots from January of the Rolex 24 in Daytona that I just got back this week. #photography #24hlemans

Can’t remember where I bought this lens, maybe DispoStudio? Took it out to a show last night #photography

We had a visitor today! Deer don't come by often, but this one hung around for several hours.

A fun comparison between digital and film. Digital shot on a Fuji X-T1 @ 50mm, film is Phoenix Film shot on an old Canon point and shoot. #photography

Red sun in morning, some kind of warning

Cyberdecks are but a microcosm of the beginnings of a new Arts and Crafts Movement. The Fediverse, small publishers, freelancers & artists honing their craft, unions, are all part of a push against a new layer of AI driven industrialization. https://blog.hydroponictrash.solar/cyberdecks-going-analog-and-convivial-technology/

Just happened to visit the Chris Cornell sculpture last month in Seattle on the anniversary of his death

Every week or so someone throws their energy gel packets at the base of my mailbox.

I’m guessing it’s a jogger or cyclist. Obviously they’ve made this a routine, a marker on their route, even. Often it’s more than one.

Trying to decide if I should set them out on display as an acknowledgment of some sort

For the first time since 1998 I'm finding myself without legit access to the Adobe suite. I've always owned a copy, had access through work, or more recently, subscribed.

I dropped my Adobe subscription recently because they keep raising prices and I just don't use the tools enough to justify it.

Not spending as much time creating is another, separate problem.

There was always something interesting about these. They certainly projected "wealth" that carried for decades. Even until just recently there were still a lot of the original generation on the road. They had staying power. https://alloymag.com/lexus-rx300-xu10-design-classic-opinion/

Will I make today's lunch decision based entirely on a fantastic rebrand? Almost certainly.

Those rounded serifs are finger lickin' good!

I decided to take a page out of John Baldessari’s playbook and burn all my artwork from undergrad. It’s been sitting in a closet for 20+ years doing no one any favors. #art

Finally, first rain in three weeks

Did wayward boat make it over to the Fediverse?

Never in a million years would I have thought to look for a Mini PCIe FireWire adapter. Can't believe such a thing exists. #retrocomputing
