What’s the opposite of a denial of service attack? I mean, what’s the name for something with the opposite effect? @ShadSterling@mastodon.social @http_error_418@hachyderm.io @sue@glasgow.social I don't understand why you need the opposite word? Capitalism performing a DoS attack on us seems apt

AI is a machine—[it’s] not going to come alive any more than your toaster will. . . . AI is not a living being that has been primed by billions of years of evolution to participate in the battle for the survival of the fittest, as animals are, and as we are. It is math—code—computers.” The AI might not kill us, but, as masters of #AI, Marc and his #Billionaire friends will. @losfromcp@mastodon.world @jimray@mastodon.social shocked to see an AI billionaire say something true about it. Of course it's just to hide something else.
Open post Ehproque has moved @ehproque@paquita.masto.host · 22mo ago Replying to @ArneBab@rollenspiel.social @serge@babka.social when you’re the owner of a small limited liability company, you have the obligation to declare bankruptcy, if the expected liabilities become larger than the capital of the company. Though this limited liability doesn’t always seem to work. When Limewire (LLC) was sued for copyright infringement, it’s CEO Greg Bildson was held liable with his personal belongings. So who’s liable and who isn’t seems to depend on who sues … @alter_kaker@hachyderm.io @CarRamrod@infosec.town @yabellini@fosstodon.org @aud@fire.asta.lgbt @ArneBab@rollenspiel.social @serge@babka.social @alter_kaker@hachyderm.io @CarRamrod@infosec.town @yabellini@fosstodon.org @aud@fire.asta.lgbt "you have the obligation to declare bankruptcy, if the expected liabilities become larger than the capital of the company." For those not familiar, it means you can throw the cable holding onto the end or pull on the end of the cable without unwinding and you don't (usually) get tangles. @Pheebe@tech.lgbt @s0@cathode.church sounds like I need to try this... with my garden hose

Not only was fossil fuels a technological trap, but its non-avoidance was forced into being by such regimes. It wasn't an organic thing.
