@nickheer also, why are so many desktop applications just poorly designed websites in a bloated trenchcoat?

I am SUPER looking forward to our conference at the end of April. The keynotes are all AMAZING, and I get to facilitate a panel session to close the conference. Just met with the panelists, and the session is going to be an absolute banger!

@nickheer I’m right there with you. About 500GB of photos and videos in Photos library, spanning decades. Have to Trust In iCloud and keep paying for the 2TB One plan because as soon as I stop paying that, photos will disappear. Yes, I could set up a SAN or something to copy them locally, but that would be offline storage that requires a lifestyle and investment to keep that going too. (Yes, I have a backup on an external drive thanks to Parachute)

@lwdupont@mastodon.social it was like watching an episode of storage wars with Dave hester bidding up everything just to drop out and stick people with overpriced garbage. Yuuup! (He’s such an asshole though - Netflix’s version was clever)
