All animals are huggable.
Some of them you can only hug once, though, and you won't be able to hug any more animals after them.

For the vast majority of you (BUT DEFINITELY NOT ALL OF YOU), if you find yourself "munchy", you're more than likely actually thirsty. So drink something.

We dreamed of hoverboards, flying cars, sleek cities, and widening prosperity.
Instead, we get this.

Quoting
We’ve officially reached the point where hearing your spouse’s voice on the phone isn’t enough proof that it’s actually them.
That sounds ridiculous until you realize voice-cloning scams are already here.
Have a code word. Call the person back directly. Verify before sending money, giving card information, or doing anything else.
We used to tell people not to trust random emails.
Now apparently we have to tell them not to automatically trust familiar voices either.

@Nonya_Bidniss@infosec.exchange It was a really good time! I think if you go in expecting Licanius or Hierarchy, you might be disappointed. But keeping in mind this was his side quest distraction from writing Hierarchy should set expectations well.
It's a really solid sci-fi thriller.

@NickGates@friendsofdesoto.social I said "Secret fourth option" meaning: whichever one you can get it from with the least cost to you and/or has it in stock.
The moralizing of consumption, especially necessary consumption, comes from a place of privilege anywhere that assumes you have the time and financial wherewithal to moralize your spending. That's not the case for everyone. It's not even the case for most people.
Buy what you need where you can get it.
If that's local, that's awesome. If it's not, eh?

Finally started book 6 of The Wheel of Time after a multi-year break. So far, Jordan is doing a fairly decent job of catching me up with things I read through book 5 by have forgotten in the intervening years.
Doesn't help that the divergences from the show are freshest in my head. Alas.
I read fiction for two solid hours last night, and that feels like a win.
