first time in more than half a year that I'm taking the solar powered #meshcore repeater in for maintenance and an update ♻️ lil guy ran 24/7 all year so far on a tiny solar panel on the #berlin sun with no problems whatsoever 😍

What did they just release: a 30B-A3B model that looks a bit like NVIDIA's Nemotron 3 Nano - because it pretty much is: https://research.nvidia.com/labs/nemotron/Nemotron-3/ with it's open architecture, code, dataset to reproduce results, and so on. @hareldan Somewhat related: AWS still has their OpenData offering where they're hosting remote sensing datasets e.g. Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 datasets (S3 bucket + SNS topic) and more importantly pay for the costs. That alone can be a reason for a startup to jump on the AWS bandwagon.

@sesivany How do you handle channel messages and specifically figuring out the sender for a channel message? From what I can find out it's simply convention to put it into the text as a prefix and it's easy to impersonate others with this. Any insights or learnings from building this?

@dantalion the meshcore-cli is a bit lower level but you can use it to send/receive and interact with devices and the mesh from the cli, too. Good to see progress here! 😍

Das heißt praktisch ja auch dass damit keine Person authentifiziert wird, sondern nur ein bestimmter Perso einer Person. Selbst wenn das günstig und einfach zu integrieren wäre (hint: ist es nicht) also keine wirkliche Lösung. Sad.
