Step 1: Cut out Visa/Mastercard/PaymentProviders as the middleman Step 2: move your cloud-agnostic infrastructure to European Wannabe-Hyperscalers once they fulfill the minimum technical requirements Step 1 alone is hard enough to start with, no need to make it even more hard.

@carnage4life@mas.to @tante@tldr.nettime.org thankfully this hasn’t been the case in recent years. 🤞 I see this on an enterprise solution level, though: Two systems (that we own and with APIs) need to talk to each other. Solution: let’s build a 3rd system that gets excel files from system one and inserts them in system two via macros. 🤦‍♀️ Unfortunately the energy needed to stop such madness is sometimes just too much. 🤷‍♂️

@mattstauffer@rtsn.dev I’ve done some testing on this, too. Higher quality (better shielded) USB-C cables help a lot. Monitors themselves cause interference, too. More modern WiFi APs also help.

@bsi@social.bund.de ernsthafte Frage: gibt es in Deutschland wirklich Netzbetreiber, die nicht schon vor Einführung von NIS-2 die entsprechenden Sicherheitsvorkehrungen getroffen haben? Abgesehen von kleinen Stadtwerken?

@bsi@social.bund.de danke für das hilfreiche Dokument. Die Ankündigung dazu würde ich anpassen. Passkey Server oder FIDO2 Server gibt es so nicht. Im Dokument selbst ist es unter 3.1.1 richtig erklärt: die „relying party“ ist der Server gegen den mittels Passkey authentifiziert werden soll. Das ist nicht irgendein extra spezieller Server, sondern der Server der jetzt statt Passwörtern Passkeys unterstützen soll.

@bsi@social.bund.de es ist nur inhaltlich falsch zu schreiben, man brauche einen Passkey Server um Passkeys anbieten zu können. Man braucht keinen extra Server. Ich wollte nur darauf hinweisen, weil es vermutlich Verwirrung stiftet, das Dokument selber finde ich hervorragend. 👍
