@david_chisnall@infosec.exchange Twitter behaved like this at its high point for user experience. When it went away is when I lost interest.

@darkuncle@infosec.exchange I think often about how the underlying assumption of a lot of people concerned with technological progress is that humanity has some ultimate goal. We need this next piece of tech (for Musk, space colonies), so we can get to the next point, and then and then… But of course none of us will be here for the glorious future we’re working toward, it won’t feel glorious for the people born into it, and human society will still be horribly unfair because we focused on progress rather than creating a society that can enjoy it.

@darkuncle@infosec.exchange as above, so below. At my most pessimistic I wonder if it’s hardwired.

@abr@mastodon.cloud a very interesting bellwether, thanks for sharing it

@abr@mastodon.cloud it might be low on GitHub lists because an explicit design feature is minimizing LOC.

@sam 👋🏼

@acdha@code4lib.social one thing GenAI is doing is showing how much people have been halfassing their work unnoticed before GenAI made it really easy (for now) to tell they were doing it.

@ecosurrealism@jorts.horse radical just means “at the root.”

@mtothevizzah@mastodon.gamedev.place was the anesthetic by any chance… ketamine?

@PavelASamsonov@mastodon.social I’m working on this technology
