Trivia: 'Shot on a 25 day schedule in the UK, a big difference to the 15 day schedule used in the US for the previous Roger Corman "Poe" movies. The director attributed the extra time to the British crew's obsession with taking "tea breaks."'
20 years later James Cameron had the same problem on the set of Aliens. #monsterdon #monsterdondoublefeature #thetombofligeia1964 #teabreak

@klu9@ohai.social Perhaps some contrast programming. The opposite of Vincent Price. Peter Cushing (who often played the monster hunter, whereas Price is often a villain). We had six #monsterdon movies with Peter Cushing:
The Gorgon (1964)
Dr. Who and the Daleks (1965)
Twins of Evil (1971)
Tales from the Crypt (1972)
Horror Express (1972)
The Beast Must Die (1974)
Or just Laserblast every week.

@Terencio@mastodon.social @klu9@ohai.social Which of our movies had Kung fu though. Maybe Godzilla Final Wars.
As for Space Women, the selection is bigger. 3 "Girl" (https://monsterdon-replay.gerlach.dev/?s=Girl) and 3 Women/Woman Movies (https://monsterdon-replay.gerlach.dev/?s=Wom)
Cat Women of the Moon, for Space Women. Or The Wrestling Women vs. the Aztec Mummy for Kung-Fu (sort of) women.

@Taweret@timeloop.cafe Perhaps Night of the Demons (1988) would work as a double feature @ryan@social.miyaku.media? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0093624
Or Night of the Creeps (1986, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091630) Night of the Eagle (1962, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056279) Night of the Seagulls (1975, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073461) Night of the Bloodbeast (1958, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0051993) ...
Or Malam Satu Suro (Night of the Satu Suro, 1988, https://www.imdb.com/title/tt12118230) which looks great.

The double feature toots are identified by having both #monsterdon and one of the #monsterdondoublefeature tags. So plain #monsterdon toots without extra tags during the double feature are ignored and can be used for after-movie discussions.
But use what you like, I just want to avoid extra work on the code :)
On last night's #monsterdon, Vincent Price in his suave prime. Followed by a slightly older Vincent Price, caked in make-up, fighting a cat.

Turns out the blind housekeepers actress released an album at 72 with deliberately bad music, "Music to Suffer By": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpFXMokACWc
'Anderson made bad singing a legitimate, if entirely unnecessary, form of entertainment. She reveled in the limitations and deficiencies in her singing voice and her publicity proudly proclaimed her as "the World's Most Horrible Singer."'

On last night's #monsterdon, the rare good movie. If "good" means nothing much happens and a spaghetti-ball monster that is too embarassing to show, so they replace it with colored negative filters.
Followed by Kraa! The Sea Monster, from the studio that made Zarkorr! The Invader, both on No! Budget.

Afterwards, on the #monsterdondoublefeature in @ryan@social.miyaku.media's stream, the same director made a Jaws rip-off with real shark footage boring somehow.
