I have developed a new method of tidying up combining ancient Japanese minimalist philosophy with Islamic legal precepts.
I call it Dansharia Law.
It's certainly not the gentlemanly thing to do.

@Haikyoneko the further away from the epicentre you are, the greater the interval between the alarm and the arrival of the quake, if that's what you mean?
Replying to
@Haikyoneko the mobile phone system warning is only emitted for areas where shindo 4 or above is predicted, so many people will have felt the earthquake but not got an alert. (Does not apply to 3rd party apps).
Replying to
@Haikyoneko Oh, then no idea, but it's a 3rd party app so it's going to have different characteristics to the mobile system. I don't bother with those, pointless extra stress.
I am getting rid of stuff and I have these Golang-related publications from ca. 2020, both in excellent condition, one with a cute animal on the cover, which I would be happy to chakubarai to anyone in Japan who can give them a loving home.

Do you have a time portal to a server in 2002 or something?
Replying to
@glen_malley@mstdn.ca Yeah, was just having an "OMG haven't heard that phrase for a looooong time" moment...
Replying to
@glen_malley@mstdn.ca if it's any consolation, barely a week goes by when I don't do something involving Perl (which I am actually quite fond of), just haven't encountered an actual CGI script for yonks.
