my mum sent me this today and it made me want to cry.
that could well be a sign of my current mental state, but much more likely just proof of the inutterable magic that persists all around us - and our inherent capacity to be moved by it

Three years ago today: phone reminding me of what used to be a regular lunch-time walk like a missive from another galaxy.
Ever just get so caught up in the routine that you forget what's possible? Not in another world, but in this one?
big fan of people who don't make me feel like existence needs curation - the generosity of turning up as our imperfect selves. no yardsticks, no hierarchy, no coercion to perform. big, big fan.
i don't know if this is a Brit thing, a xennial thing, a human thing, or what, but reminder that your need to experience emotional resonance with those who are meant to be closest to you isn't a sign of neurosis or weakness.
maybe consider that other people's inability/unwillingness to meet you there could also be 'the problem', before you try and teach yourself not to feel.
