Sibling just made my night sending me this photo of their two super sweet pups patiently pausing for a photo during their bath.

A photo of a fallen stem of leaves my sister sent me today from WA State. She said when she saw it, she thought I'd like it. She gets me...I'm lucky. 🍃

If you're in Orlando and want to support an awesome cause and business, please consider visiting Penzeys. They rented a store right next to the Pulse nightclub, and are hanging in there, but not doing great sales-wise. Their awesome owner Bill explained this in his email newsletter. In addition to spices, they have lots of other goodies. Super kind to humans and pets too. Screenshot is an excerpt from his email newsletter.

When driving back from the grocery store on a four lane road adjacent to a nature preserve, the car in front of me came to an abrupt stop. Thankfully I was able to stop before running into them. Wondering what caused the quick halt, I thought it may be a Sandhill Crane making its way across the road, but I didn't see anything that tall. Instead, two smallish adult ducks came into view, followed by eight little tiny ones faithfully following their brave leaders. Brought a smile to my face...cool.
At least someone is trying to do something. Yesterday, a resolution introduced in the US House to initiate Impeachment based on 13 Articles of Impeachment. Even if written just for posterity and doesn't go anywhere, someone is trying and not just giving up.

@ChrisMayLA6@mastodon.me.uk Thank you for mentioning this book. Just a few chapters in, but thoroughly enjoying it. A welcomed companion on a gloomy weather day. Thank you, again!
So....sounds like 7 April 2026 8pm Eastern is the official start of WWIII according to the insane US President. For all people that were eligible to vote in the US that didn't vote for Harris, witness the result of your apathy.

@CiaraNi Thank you for your toot. And here's a virtual candle in the window for you. 🕯️🪟🤍
Just had a pleasant phone call with Wind River, the makers of the Corinthian Bells wind chimes that were gifted to me about 20 years ago. They've broken and are a tricky to restring. Wind River will restring them for only $30 plus return shipping. Includes a new ring and industrial metal crimp to keep strings tight beneath the ring. I've removed all the original string, and scrubbed everything clean. Wind sail has lost some paint, but kind of gives it character. Only $7 if I want it replaced.
This would be a ridiculous joke if it wasn't the ridiculous truth. FL Gov's revised congressional district map.
Yes, red = Rep, and blue = Dem.

Finally got around to reading this...started it a few days ago. Written by the person I voted for in the 2024 US Presidential Election.
Two thumbs up for the movie Project Hail Mary. 👍🏽👍🏽
Or in Rocky-speak. 👎🏽👎🏽
😁
Glad I took the time to see it. 🤓🚀🌞🔬🦠🧫🎥🍿

@czarbucks On a positive note, have fond memories of being in that hotel and that ballroom with a few friends wearing our pink hats on January 21, 2017...we all flew into DC for the Women's March...one friend stayed at that hotel so we hung out there a little bit...many guests, some in ball gowns were less than pleased to see us...lol...good times.

@czarbucks@vmst.io He gloated before the Dinner that he was going to make it a good show...at this point, nothing surprises me.
Cool...good to see some good humans doing something good.

So insane. Excerpt from Reuters article on the current extent of US military involvement in the Strait of Hormuz blockade:
"The blockade is a massive undertaking involving more than 10,000 U.S. forces, over a dozen warships and dozens of aircraft, the U.S. military says."

Just tried searching the US Congress website to verify and read the Article of Impeachment, and received this error message:
"Error 503
Congress.gov is currently experiencing technical difficulties.
We are working on resolving this. Please try again in a few minutes."
