In reality, I still have to wait weeks to see my PCP or months for a specialist AND I get to pay out the ass for it. We also get the greatness that individual doctors at a location can be in or out of network. Back in January I sliced my face pretty badly while shaving, so I went to the nearest in-network urgent care. Apparently the NP working that day was out-of-network so they still charged me $700.
