So tired of the focus on his mental illness. Makes it sound like his being elected was a reasonable outcome, that everything was okay until his mind started to go.
No.
It wasn’t okay. It hasn’t been okay for decades. This is a complex system producing a horrific, cartoonishly evil outcome. The system is obviously, catastrophically broken and the world will remain in terrible peril until the system is transformed.

Everyone is slashing expenses and laying off workers because fifteen people need to have all the money.

@gwynnion@mastodon.social god the idea that high school sports MATTERS in any way other than “kids have fun and maybe learn a lesson or two” drives me insane.
RE: @cargot_robbie@urbanists.social
Can we PLEASE stop replacing functional systems with systems that are no better and only exist in order to siphon money away from our communities?

@janl@narrativ.es @polotek@social.polotek.net when I’m working with teams that have little experience in estimation I ask them to work very strictly on one-week sprints due to point #4 you make. If a team can’t estimate what they can get done in a week, there’s no way they can estimate months at a time. By enforcing a short interval they have the chance to start learning how to estimate with smaller item sizes first— after which they can start increasing their skill.
