Raise the EU's €10,000 cross-border OSS threshold to €1M (or even €10M).

You’ll still stop Big Tech corporations from jurisdiction shopping and you’ll remove the compliance and accounting burden on tiny and small businesses so we don’t end up either needing merchants of record or, as I’m sure many do, fly under the radar and hope you don’t get noticed. You might even end up *increasing* tax revenue because of it (it’s not revenue if you can’t collect it.)

Aya is an outstanding student (she had a ~97% score on her university entrance exam) and one of our volunteers at Gaza Verified. She spends an hour most days helping other Gazans get verified to help protect their accounts on the fediverse.

(We want to try and help her to find a university programme in Europe to join. She’s been practicing for the Duolingo exam and I just bought her two exams so she can prove her English proficiency as a first step towards that goal. If you’re signed up for a verification call with Gaza Verified in March, please note that the time of the calls have changed from starting at 1PM (with four calls at 1PM, 1:15PM, 1:30PM, and 1:45PM) to starting at 12PM (12PM, 12:15PM, 12:30PM, and 12:45PM).

This is due to the United States entering Daylight Savings Time (DST) while Gaza only enters DST on March 28th.

(Meaning that we have to move the calls one hour earlier for Gaza so our volunteer, @casey@kafeneio.social, can still hold them at 6AM her time before she goes to work after 7AM.)

The calls will return to starting at 1PM Gaza Time after March 28th.
