Trixi is perplexed by North Dakota weather… and also passwords and two-factor authentication, which humans wouldn’t have to go through if they just learned to meow correctly.

Jinx has reached the gangly stage.
Now that the trail cam has fresh batteries, I’ve been able to connect and review what it managed to get before the batteries died.
If you’re not careful, Hector might heckin bamboozle you with his hypnotic handsomeness.

An example of the fine humor to be found in Wehman Bros’ “Red Hot Joker” (Price 10¢):
Here the haughty, disdainful beauty interrupted him.
'You are wasting your time, Mr. Spoonamore," she said.
"Then you don't care for me, Miss Pickle?"
"Care for you? Not the least in the world."
"Don't you think that in time—"
"No, you noodle! Not in a thousand years!"
"I'm a noodle, am I?"
"You are."
"I see!" he gasped, reaching for his hat. "I'm in the soup!"
Reynard: Such plating! Such whimsy! Did you perhaps learn how to prepare this at El Bulli under the direction of Ferran Adrià? Should I contact Michelin about this most daring molecular fusion of Kraft and cocktail weenie? Truly, I am in awe.

I wonder how many churches are preaching from The First Epistle to the Tarantinians this morning?
They had it figured out 70 years ago.

Momma cat and kittens have relocated (for now), under the deck or elsewhere There was chainsaw activity yesterday afternoon in the yard to the north. I kept my distance this time, only going out to refill water and food, and using the 5x lens to see into the shelter. Took the opportunity tonight to put fresh batteries into the trail cam (been dead for a while). Hope they come back, as I’m pretty sure that’s Jinx’s mom with a fresh batch.
This is my coffee. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
Can you identify the Herring Salad, Royal Jellied Veal and Spiced Tongue in this photo?

“There’ll be no mock turtle soup for us tonight, darling! But first, help me find my two missing fingers.”

I happened upon mention of a “Scrum Master” in a job listing today, and was, like, eww. After finding an official definition of what the heck a Scrum Master is supposed to be, I’m convinced it’s instead something from Temu Dungeons and Dragons.
“As described in the Scrum Guide, the Scrum Master is accountable for establishing Scrum. They do this by helping everyone understand Scrum theory and practice, both within the Scrum Team and the organization while serving the Scrum Team as well as the larger organization.”
I wonder how much it would cost to get my 2002 Nissan Xterra detailed?
Ahh, my old rap name from my Norwegians With Asthma days.
My only gripe about my old MacBook Pro is it doesn’t have an extended keyboard, but a few bucks in 2024 bought me a very mechanical 10-key that I didn’t open up or connect until today. Very satisfying.
You’d think I’d have good reason to sleep in this morning, but noooooooo — the legendary North Dakota Work Ethic was all, like, “Let’s goooo! Up and at ‘em! N! D! W! E! You’re a mighty honeybee!”
I tried explaining that, actually, worker bees are female and I felt more like a drone bee and NDWE snapped back with a “Shut up! It’s a metaphor! Get out of bed!”
So here I am, a mighty honeybee,
Fueling up with fresh coffee.
To you, I offer up this warning:
It’s gonna be a darn good morning.
After having read through a job listing or two and the lingo used in them, I have concluded the following…
So last week: Ideation
So very now: Solutioning
Up next: Successificationizing
Unexpectedly, cheese fudge shows up enough times online for me to think it might be a real thing that people make and eat.

Don’t worry about it.
“And prepared with conchigliette!?”
Yeah? So?
“You have brought shame to this house.”
No I haven’t.
“Generational shame. I can’t even look at you.”
You’re looking at me right now.
Ouch. Perhaps Adobe should shift its focus from AI to kerning/tracking.

Motor 𝘂𝗻𝗱 sport!? In this economy!?
(Alas, the sellers don’t ship to the US, so this is not in my collection. Great cover.)
Some guy: Look at this amazing action sequence I made in five minutes using Seedunce 9.3 that would cost Hollywood $200M to do!
The video:
While I was in Target yesterday, I heard a lot of wailing, moaning and gnashing of teeth — more than the usual amount — and tracked down the source of the problem after checking out.
