I like computer science, I find neural networks and machine learning very interesting but I dislike the AI and LLM stuff that is currently being pushed at us.

@Extelec@mstdn.social The FCC has authorised AST-Space Mobile to launch it's full constellation of 248 large satellites that includes 430 to 440MHz for emergency telemetry and control when not over the United States. This is despite there being no such frequency allocation. So I guess we can probably legally throw a kilowatt at it.
German aerospace firm Rocket Factory Augsburg (RFA) is in preparations for its planned launch from Scotland-based SaxaVord Spaceport this summer.
The SaxaVord Spaceport is located on Unst, the most northerly of the inhabited Shetland Islands. It's licence permits the site to host up to 30 launches a year.

I personally don't like using apps and often will not be carrying a mobile phone.

I was up in the Outer Hebrides recently on North Uist. People there wave to you as you pass by, and if I took the time to stop and say hello, I would often be invited in for a cup of tea and a chat.
It's a lifestyle that I prefer.
