Profile Picture: A selfie taken with the phone held up in the air and pointed down. A person's (me) is in the bottom right of the picture. They have brown hair and beard. Behind them is a chair, a window and two cat beds. In the bed on the left is a brown/blacl tabby with a white front, on the other bed is a grey tabby cat
You're not my real boss
My real bosses are small, furry and hungry
I only work with you because they demand that I make money so that I can buy them food
Happy birthday to me
My plan for today is to get lost
I'm going to take a bus downtown, a train to the NW and then get on a random bus
Then I will get off the bus somewhere and make my way back home
I probably won't make myself walk all the way home. My plan is to try to get back downtown but I might be happy with finding the train line again depending on how long that takes
The company isn't serious about AI, they are enthusiastic about AI
Like a kid hitting the drums as fast and as hard as possible
For lunch I have a single pancake
Because I didn't plan my pancake consumption properly
Why are the clips of a show that I want to reference never the ones on YouTube?
There was a Stargate SG-1 episode where a planet put nanites in the brains of their kids to help them learn better
There's a scene where a kid is helping Carter to setup a Naquadah generator and Carter keeps asking questions and then cutting the kid off when she tries to answer and says that people like to figure things out for themselves
That's me and AI
What if enshitification saves us from the AI apocalypse?
Adam Scott?
The guy who played the helmsman of the Defiant in Star Trek First Contact?
The funny thing about the Stargate SG-1 episode "Window of Opportunity" is that The Ancients actually figured out time travel
The guy is just on the wrong planet
The top of the hill is a slippery slope to the bottom of the hill
Starting the trip off right by missing the first bus by a couple minutes (it was early, I wasn't) and then almost getting ran over by someone turning left at a ted light
Now I am taking a bus to the train station and then the train downtown
Lupo looking at his food like he wants to love again but has been hurt before
One thing AI is good at is agreeing with me when I complain about AI
Me: *sets the company's money on fire*
The problem with having a stressful week is that every day feels like it should be Friday
"Surely it's over now"
I was late leaving the house this morning because Lupo didn't want to get a stick-down before I left
He was in the middle of the leaving room and I was on the other side of the couch. Every time I went to one end he would run to the other
So the company is moving towards spec driven AI development. You help the AI build requirements and a task list and then tell it to get working while you go have tea
The workflow that we are trying is, buid spec with AI, put out a code review with the specs to get feedback, and then when they are approved you start the work
I am concerned about how easily people are approving specs that are clearly wrong
Okay I have a blanket to go under my side to try to stop wrinkles in my shirt and the sheets from bugging me while I sleep and one to go between my knees to stop them from bugging me
That seems to have worked
Regarding that smashed laptop I found
It was very brutally ripped apart and looked to be missing the main board and hard drive. It did have a slimline optical drive so I don't think it was very new.
Someone stole a laptop to scrounge RAM?
Is it better for dirty dishes to be piling up because the dishwasher needs to be emptied or because it just needs to be filled?
On the one hand, the dishwasher needing to be emptied means that there are new clean dishes available and that's good
On the other, it means you have to do two things when you are being lazy instead of just one
