I'm not Catholic so maybe I'm wrong,but that sounds more like the Evangelicals. (Source: was raised Evangelical but not any longer.)

I ended a 20 year friendship with someone who was in my wedding party when I married,who I threw a baby shower for etc. When she celebrated Trump's win in 2024. No explanation. I just blocked her on everything the day after the election. I'm trans and disabled and my spouse and step kiddo are immigrants. I miss my ex friend but couldn't stomach being friends with someone who would cheer on someone who would love to see my family and I dead.

Is this like that episode of Sliders that you can enter a lottery for free but if you win you agree to live like royalty for a few days and then end your life as a form of population control.

Lots of good advice already,but I also thrift the vast majority of my clothes. I know that's not accessible to everyone but I'm lucky enough to have a super awesome thrift store not too far away.

Yes, our town libraries are privately owned =\ so that's a whole thing. But I have a county library card as well and it's a large wealthy county so I feel like it should offer more of these.

I love my library and I love Libby. I wish we had the other things listed. Those sound awesome.

I will delete my entire online presence,move to the woods and become a feral cryptid before I ever give social media my ID.
Anyway, I agree. Parents need to parent their own fucking children.

Ecosia's AI suggestions can be turned off too. Their search isn't as efficient as Google but I try to use it over Google as much as possible.

@CarlWatkins@mastodon.social I concur. It's quite a bit quieter,but that's nice sometimes.
