Everyone has their own schedules and stuff, but I truly appreciate @zackwhittaker@mastodon.social's "This Week in Security" hitting my inbox around noon or so on Sunday, right when I'm starting to think, "Okay, I need to start clearing up my head for next week and getting ready for what I have to face." It's just well-timed for me.

@stuartl@mastodon.longlandclan.id.au @cjust@infosec.exchange My wife pointed out that I answered that with the perspective of a developer back in those days if you were a assistant manager just a technically literate user yeah you would fit somewhere in the middle. She got an 11 for example. She's an accountant.

@cR0w@infosec.exchange What you need is a "burn it in hell" checkbox. I actually had one of those in a management interface of an app that I wrote for someone once. It was for a dentist with a questionable sense of humor.

@jasonkarns@indieweb.social Search them up if you use Discord. It's called CORE in the app, but likely just good terms will find them.

Holy shit, if you ask it to "write up" the finding, it adds it to the project like the Active Scanner would (if it actually ever found anything useful). My pants are getting uncomfortably tight.

In my continuing effort to make AI into a usable tool, I told it I don't care for connectors, because I don't trust that my context will be interpreted correctly. The response sorta surprised me: "Fair enough. That control-then-trust approach fits your line of work anyway. Scope defines what touches what."

@nuintari@mastodon.bsd.cafe See, I don't even run a VPN. I'm terrified of it. We use sophisticated things to copy stuff on the local machines when we are traveling, but I just can't trust the fact that I will keep a VPN endpoint up to date enough that I would want it with access to any part of my home network whatsoever. I guess this goes along with my normal line. "Why did you even put that on the internet?"

@krypt3ia@infosec.exchange The funny thing is the "deal" is exactly what we already have. We have always had the right to put more military there. Nothing changed, aside from the MAngo Mousillini claiming having "made the deal." That we have had since the 60s. I hate this timeline.
