Personal experience, haven't been trying to install malware
@len@nyan.network personally I use a VPN that does DNS level ad blocking and set it to "always on" and "block connections without VPN" in android settings and this reduced the amount of ads I see a lot. I also have ublock origin in Firefox which helped
I'm not actively trying to install malware so I don't know what fraction of those problematic sites it would block
@Rairii@labyrinth.zone fun fact, certain orange vendors don't allow sessions with that blog context and block them unless you're in their special "cvp" #cybersecurity
@autkin@fosstodon.org thank you!
To clarify, I'd like at least one for myself and would be interested in making a few under the assumptions events like bsides might be interested in some
So, I know there's a trope of software/tech folks going "fuck this I'm out" and buying a farm to live on, and making money from solar panels and batteries on the land... But has anyone actually done this in Europe? I'd love to read about how it went and what did/didn't work

Anyone know where the pipe organ is at #emfCamp2026#emfcamp ? I can hear it but it's so high pitched I can't work out where it is
I assume it's LookMumNoComputer on their way here
@discontinuity@infosec.exchange I found a Nokia charger at the swap shopthat looks to be outputting ~ the right voltage. It's on the table if you want to take it!
If you don't need it any more, I'll put it back at the swap shop
@mwichary@mastodon.online agreed, and I think one of the reasons folks are so excited is that it gives them ways to automate things. Previously many tools wouldn't give you APIs, or only gave ones that you'd to be a software professional to use.
On my way to #emfcamp2026 with 3x laptops for the exchange, plenty of ram in them but no hard drives (ran out of time to wipe them)
Hope they get sued for shenanigans, and that no one separates them from their chargers!
