You might not think it’s a pool day, but you’d be wrong!

Finished product!
Our old planter that came with the house gave up the ghost (bottom rotted out) so I found some plans online and built this one out of 12 cedar fence pickets. A perfect vacation project and a simple one day build.
The Odyssey was so great. See it in an IMAX theater if you can.
“Masters of the Universe” absolutely went for it with a full toy/cartoon accurate version, didn’t take itself too seriously, and as a result was great. Genuinely impressed that there were no compromises.
The #1Password dev tools, particularly the SSH agent and SSH commit signing, are some of the best things we've built. I use these everyday and they're so good. Incredibly easy to set up, too.
I'm doing a weekly photo challenge via 52frames.com and this week's challenge was, "Portrait of a Stranger". I'm pretty pleased with how this one came out. #52frames #photography #syracuse
It’s a pool day, baby ❤️
Picked up Burnout Paradise on steep discount during the summer sale. I loved this game on PS3 and the remaster is excellent. It runs perfectly on the Steam Deck.

@jamesthomson @Drwave I remembered that there’s this database on the internet of movies that also happens to include video games. Found it. 🙂

@Gte @marioguzman This was the first computer I bought for myself with my own money as I headed off to college. Absolutely loved that machine.

@marioguzman@mastodon.social @nicklockwood@mastodon.social This is going to be really useful as I close in on the first version of 40 Below for Mac. Thanks!

@danvpeterson@mastodon.social I’m having a hard time watching the cursor in that video 😅
I think I'm going to try and get all the way through Hades next. I don't typically enjoy roguelikes, but the gameplay loop on this one is really compelling. It also runs great on the Steam Deck.

@peterbrown@mastodon.scot Hey Peter, I was looking around to see who’s been talking about °F and °C lately and your post came up.
I made an app you might find some use in. 🙂 https://apps.apple.com/app/40-below/id6759849820
As a console gamer I did not anticipate falling for doing a PC build, but the upcoming Steam Machine has gotten me excited for the possibility of a plug and play PC gaming machine for the living room. So… I’m taking the Steam Machine specs and turning the knob up a little. I’m going to see if I can get official SteamOS running on it.
I am going to need those RAM and storage prices to come down a little, though…

@dxzdb@mastodon.social Yes! Apple built minimal support for the Touch Bar on Windows with volume and brightness controls.

@case2tv@social.tchncs.de We aim for releases every two weeks, though we’ve had a slight disruption in that lately.
If there are other issues you’re seeing, feel free to message them to me here and I will get some eyes on them.
Honestly could have done without the spring snow today. ❄️
Sitting on the deck, in the rain and the cool of the evening. Just a peaceful, perfect night.
In the meantime I’ve blown the dust off my old 2019 MBP and dual booted it to Windows (Linux on this machine was a challenging journey due to the T2 chip), just to get a feel for things. It’s pretty great! Really enjoying going through my old Steam and Battle.net library with my son. Watching him have his first WASD and mouse experience was fun while he played Portal. 😊
Finished up Batman Arkham Origins. Good story, some clunky controls, but overall a solid Batman game.
