mastodon 4.7.3I'm an artist and an avid book reader.
As a painter, I am inspired by everything human. The human face, the human figure, the human emotions, the human work, the human footprint on Earth.
In black & white or in colors, my art works show the world how I see it.
As a bookworm, I am constantly thirsty for new books that challenge my imagination and my intellect, that teach me things I didn't know and enrich me as a human being.
Hello everybody,
I'm a bit lost here, coming from "traditional" social platforms. I have no idea how this works and to top it all I'm also too shy to enter people's conversations.
So let me introduce myself: I'm a Romanian artist, I paint in oil and acrylic. I am also a voracious reader, always on the lookout for new books. I enjoy most of all historical ones - fiction and non fiction, classic literature is my comfort food, yet I'll not refuse a good mystery or thriller.
A recent #painting of mine of a special place - a village I revisit every summer, to recharge the batteries of my soul, to slow down the rhythm of the everyday life and drink in the wonders of Mother Nature.
The quiet world of Robesti, Valea Oltului, #Romania, with its white #rustic houses among fruit trees, screened behind dilapidated wooden fences and surrounded by exuberant foliage - does it seem to you as magic as it is to me?
Let's have a snack, shall we?
Lemon, tea and croissants: hard pastels drawing on sand paper.

It's #WorldBookDay today!
I'm currently reading "Falls the Shadow", by Sharon Kay Pennan, what are *you* reading these days?
Picture for attention, it's called "The read-headed librarian", oils on canvas panel.

@A_Minion@mastodon.social @readit@mastodon.social @bookstodon@fedigroups.social I hear you. Everybody's mindlessly scrolling nowadays. I can't read printed books anymore (print is too small for my tired eyes) but I always carry my tablet when I know there will be empty time to spend.
Edit: the said tablet holds my ebooks, whose text I can enlarge as needed and read without strain.
It's #InternationalJazzDay
Let's celebrate!
