@neatnik@social.lol I suggest adding a part on what not to do. Like being overly brief (based on your examples, the alt-text being one word "geese" or "puppy"), not just repeating the text from the post to which the image is attached, and not adding stuff that is not actually relevant to the image itself (like say, a joke about how geese are unruly - that should go in the post itself).
All of those are things I've noticed in alt-text before.

Na época da pandemia e pelo menos por uns anos após ser declarado o fim da emergência sanitária, tinha um site que monitorava a taxa de mortalidade mês a mês (por todas as causas) no Brasil e era parte do q se usava pra denunciar a subnotificação. Alguém lembra qual é? Eu tenho quase certeza que o endereço era simples tipo mortalidade .com.br mas não é isso exatamente

Feels a bit hypocritical. Words without action and such

"Coronéis", informal leaders in rural regions with little state presence, would intercept the ballots from a certain area to read them and make sure the people in their sphere of influence voted how they demanded, under threat of collective punishment.
The voting machines are standardized nationwide and their source code and hardware are audited by multiple institutions. I don't think it's comparable to the US's
