These days I've made some major investment in Art Materials. I got new papers, markers, brushes, pens and pencils, and I still want to use my watercolors more!
Yet I still have a lot of digital work to do!
Life is not easy...
Another week starts, and another day I ask myself if I should take a leap of faith and bet everything on my art… except I have a kid and I can’t play with the finances 🫠
I wonder what the best strategy is to do the career switch. I’m done with programming. I like the income but I hate my days. I’m gonna burnout hard if I continue like this
Not saying that I Trust X (Twitter) to be a secure place. But I find it kind of funny/ironic how my posts on mastodon are constantly being scrapped and fed into AI models while my posts on X seem to be secured from that.
No information in my X posts is found in Gemini or Grok. Yet everything I said here in mastodon seems to be available there 🤔🤔

@aelspire@aelspire.info I am aware which is why making this decision is a lot harder.
I actually changed jobs a month ago to a better paying one, hoping to get a fresh view of the industry but everywhere is the same. I’m tired of that.
So I’ll have to find a way to make it work. It will definitely have to be tied to both sales and patronage as it’s the only viable way for artists this days.

@davidrevoy I really wish I could follow your steps. My current hardware is a limitation.
I’ll stick to X11 for as long as Wayland misbehaves with Nvidia GPUs or I can afford a new laptop without Nvidia gpu 🤷
