mastodon 4.6.8+glitchDigital artist who infrequently can scrape enough energy to create stuff. I like to escape with art and draw cute anthros. I'm purely a hobbyist, and am always on the lookout to discover new artists who mainly create personal pieces, as opposed to commercial ones.
I was convinced by someone to try Art Fight a couple weeks ago, so I've been hunkered down making a big character sheet. Before then though, I was starting to sketch out something to playfully represent the four freedoms with Xenia and Tux!
I just kind of realized it'll likely be months before I pick this back up, so I want to share this sketch for the first word: run.
I've been chipping away at this every day for the last 2.5 weeks or so, and now I'm finally satisfied with the guide I've sketched out for my sona. I wanted to make something like this for a while, but never felt compelled until joining Art Fight this month.
I also want to make one of these for one other character I'm attached to (Kate, the cat on the second page), but I genuinely don't think I'll have the time before July 1st. Either way, I am genuinely surprised and quite proud of drawing all of this out!
For those involved in Art Fight this year, I'm on Team Comedy. I have no idea who I'm attacking, so please feel free to leave a shout if you want me to check out your characters: https://artfight.net/~Foxfire-
I was having a conversation on Matrix recently, and felt compelled to sketch out this reply. We all probably need a jumpstart every now and again, but how you need it to happen...I suppose that depends on you!
Since Matrix has icons for every room in a space, I've started making some images for a space a few of my friends are in. It's named after an opossum, so I'm theming it around that, with this one for a scores room. Scores for a rhythm game that is, which is why they're so happy. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.
@pastelfluffyfox@meow.social That's awful, sorry you two are going through all that crap! It's not a bunch, but I sent something over.
Had an idea I wanted to try related to alt text, where folks are given only that, and tasked with recreating the image. It was neat to see different interpretations of the same text, and then us get the original reveal at the end! I feel like this could be a cool event with curation and automation, but I'm glad I got to try it at least once.
The original image and alt text provided will be in the replies.
